What is AIH
Aspiration International Homeschool is an Online Homeschool that provides Cambridge lower secondary right up to IGCSE curriculum to secondary learners worldwide.
Homeschooling simply refers to the ability to study in the comfort and convenience of one’s own home while achieving good results.
What normally people would think is that homeschool is usually perceived as a place where parents educate their child at home instead of sending them to school.
Teaching, guiding students and having enough knowledge for all the subjects can be daunting for parents. Besides, being a parent comes with different roles and responsibilities as being a teacher.
AIH gives parents the opportunity to outsource the biggest chunk of teaching to them. Our virtual learning environment, Elevation, is the bridge to communicate effectively between learners, school and parents in respect to instructions, submissions and feedback.
Who is homeschooling for?
Many people opt for homeschooling for several reasons. Homeschooling is not about isolating learners at home but rather mainly what are the parents’ and learners’ preferences.
There are parents who still include outside of home activities, field trips, service work, sports, and other means to add a large variety of learning opportunities and experiences to learners who are homeschooled.
Here we will break down some aspects as to who is homeschooling for in order to give you an overview of the different needs that are out there.
Those who are homeschooled are here for a reason and that clearly does not mean learners (generally) who are in a homeschool setting are lacking in anything.
Let us look at some of the reasons why some learners and parents opt or think homeschool is a way to go. This is because:
- Learners are not available for regular scheduled classes.
- Special needs learners who learn at a different pace.
- Increased in emotional and physical well-being
- Family values that oppose school’s values.
- No trust in national/government schools.
- For social purposes such as influences.
- No pressure from peers to peers.
- Geographical mobility.
Based on the reasoning above, it can be clearly seen that preferences differ from one to another from one household to another household.
Homeschooling will certainly help to build you for the future and shape you to be a self-directed learner and lead you to discover areas of subjects that you are interested in. When you have a good grasp of what you are learning, everything that you are studying becomes meaningful and easier to remember what you have learned.
